Altje's brother Foche was my great great grandfather. I obtained the trunk
through an antique dealer who performed a search for the name on the Internet
and located one of my pages.Altje married Henry (Hinrich) Schuster in Adams County, Illinois on 28 August 1870. She has not been positively identified in the 1870 Adams County, Illinois census (although Henry likely has). She also cannot be located in Germans to America, although it is very possible that she was overlooked in this compilation.
The handles on the trunk are not original.
