Alien Registration Affidavits-- World War I

The originals of the images scanned here are held at the Kansas City  Branch of the National Archives. A citation for Maria's registration form is on this site.

These affidavits contain a wealth of genealogical information, including names of spouse, children, siblings, and parents; immigration information; and physical information. It is too bad more for World War I are not extant.

Note: To my Ufkes cousins viewing this page, Maria Habben Siebels is the daughter of Habben M. Habben and his wife Annepke Ufkes. Annepke Ufkes Habben is a sister to our ancestor Johann Frederich Hinrich Ufkes (1838-1924). Johann (John) is the progenitor of the Hancock County, Illinois, Ufkes family and is the father of Frederich (Fred) Ufkes (1893-1960), my great-grandfather.

Maria would be a first cousin to Fred Ufkes.
