More Can You Read it?

This one (twice on the same page) comes from a court document in 1904 in Hancock County, Illinois. This individual probably learned to write in the German script.

Go ahead and post a guess as to the name. The typewritten letters should not be a problem.

It looks to me like Geyet Huls. The 1910 census for Hancock county (on HeritageQuest) lists a Gariat Huls who may be the same person.

Geyet Huls was my final answer as well.

I would vote for Gerjet Huls, where the "j" really stands for an "i".
