Details set for May 2008 group trip to Salt Lake's Family History Library

We have set our details for the 2008 trip to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. This will be our third annual trip.
Our group has been small in the past, but that has worked in our favor as it has made it easier for me to help those who needed more assistance with their own research.
Your trip planning begins as soon as you register. We do not want people waiting until the last minute to plan their research. Ideally everyone has a list of materials to work on with them as they enter the building, along with ideas about how those records are organized, what information they contain, etc. Part of our pre-trip planning is to have researchers do as much as they can BEFORE they get to Salt Lake so their time at the library can be focused on using sources unique to that repository.
Our trip begins with participants arriving on May 13, with an orientation that evening and actual research beginning the next day (or that evening if you want). We all depart for home on May 21st. The library is closed on May 18 (Sunday)--that forced day off gives us time to recoup, reorganize, focus, and be "rip roaring, ready to go" on Monday morning.
Registration for the trip is $250--those registering before 15 December can take advantage of our early discount and register for $200. Most of us will stay at the Plaza because it is close, but participants can make other lodging arrangements if they so desire.

We would love to have you join us. Questions can be sent to me at saltlake@rootdig.com.
